It's very vulnerable to say "this is a piece of me" and leave it to be judged. If you feel like you're acting like a little kid when you show someone your art, just remember that every other "serious" art student is doing the same thing. Getting work in a gallery is one of the goals of your peers, so maybe checking out the school gallery and reminding yourself that art is made to be SEEN will help.<br />I'm happy that you are challenging yourself.
